What's the different between Perfume and Eau de Toilette?

which one last longer? what's the difference? an also when i put them where on my body should i spray them so others could smell without it being overwhelmingWhat's the different between Perfume and Eau de Toilette?
perfume is more genuine and stronger. eau de toilette literally translates to toliet water in french. What's the different between Perfume and Eau de Toilette?
There is none. Eau de Toilette is just a french word for perfume. It's like we have two words for body mist and body spray.
eau is weaker, cheaper, and does not last.
Perfume is a stronger form of the scent. Eau de toilette is a softer version. Perfume is said to last the longest. They say that you should put perfume on your pulse points (in the folds of your arms, legs and down by your ankles they r the warmest areas) of your body. The warmth of your body is supposed to make the scent disperse.
Perfume is lighter and has more alcohol in it, eau de toillette has oil in it and is thicker, perfume should be sprayed more on your clothes since alcohol soaks in your skin fast, also eau de toillette is oil base so it lasts longer and should be applied to skin.
Perfume is oil based and Eau de Toilette is water based, this means that the perfume will last longer on the skin. You should spray on your wrists and then rub them together and then one on your neck.
Having worked at Macy's in fine fragrances for 6 years, I feel I'm more then qualified to answer this question. there are actually 3 levels of concentration. eau de toilette, eau de parfum, and parfum. both of the ';eau';s are dilutted with alcohol. eau de parfum is higher in concentration of the parfum oils then eau de toilette, which is often why eau de parfums cost more. both eau de parfum and eau de toilettes are most often found in the spray form, since a more liberal application is required for scent strength and durability. parfum, which is the pure oils of the fragrance is by far the most expensive, it's not rare to spend 100USD for 1/4 oz of parfum. with parfum all you need is a drop or two, which is why these little glass bottles come without a sprayer. in terms of application, whether you're spraying or dabbing, the pulse points are where to hit. this means wrists, inside elbow, neck, and even the back of your knees. don't worry if you apply your fragrence and can't smell it yourself, you often become so used to the scent that it no longer registers to your nose. hope this helps.
i thought it was the same.
Perfume has more of the essential oils in it so it lasts a lot longer. the eau de toilette has alcohol in it so it will not last as long. That is why the perfume is more expensive. The best place to put it is behind on the back of your neck and shoulders. You will leave a lasting impression... in a good way.
perfume has a much higher concentration; is stronger and last longer and more expensive, oppose to eau de toilette. eau de toilette is not as concentrated and is not as strong and the scent does not last as long, it is also cheaper.
